A friend of mine was asking about his Fujitsu Simens - Amilo M 1437G
The seller told him the day he bought it, that he can remove the VGA card and replace it with something better in the future, is that true?

    his PC is:
    Fujitsu Simens - Amilo M 1437G
    2Ghz, 2M Cache
    2GB 667Mhz Kingstone
    HDD: 80G SCSI RAID
    Screen: 15.4"
    VGA: Mobility Radion X700 128M

if this is true, can he replace it with x1800?

Theretically, yes. It's a gimmick. False advertising even. It's, technically, possible, but there has to be a few conditions which are unknown.

A). The 'new' card has to be manufactured
B). It has to fit the notebook
C). Even if it fits as per B), it has to work well enough that it does not overheat or self destruct the notebook(this is an extreme).

Pretty much I'm saying, don't get your hopes up. A notebook is not a desktop, and are usually(98% of the time), not modular.
