Okay, so I have the M70Vm bought back in 2008, specs are as follows:

    Core2Duo T9400 2.53GHz
    4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 RAM 800MHz
    Nvidia GeForce 9600m GS

    etc, etc.

Now, whilst the processor and ram are capable of running pretty much everything I do just fine, I've noticed the gpu is a bottleneck. I want to upgrade.

So what I would like are these:

    1. A list of possible/probable compatibile gpu's.
    2. Factual reasons for/against.
    3. A location for purchase of said gpu's.

    What I would not like:

    1. Comments telling me not to try this because of blah blah. I am experienced enough with computers to undertake modification of this type. What I lack, are any decent contacts in the industry to be able to find out what I need to know.

Any help I can/may receive will be greatly appreciated.

More to come as this progresses..
