    I want to buy a new laptop!:. but my bubget is limitet.. so i found a interesting.. oportunity... this laptop have a amd turion 64 2.0ghz processor... and 1024mbram....i want to know if this processor works well?.. i would use this laptop only for basic task. like internet.. messenger.. word excel powepoint.. bla bla.. but NOT to gamming or those things.. but i want a good processor... i mean a dont want a slow computer..

    so what do u think of amd turion 64.?... is betther than intel celeron? or solo core? what about dual core?.. what is the competitor from intel inside for this processor?...

    i really apreciate ur help..

    Way better than Celeron, not that that's difficult. The Turion X2 is the dualcore version. Core Solo is Intel's competitor but the Intel chip isn't 64-bit capable.

    Anyhow, for what you're doing it'll do fine. I have a 1.8GHz Turion 64 in my notebook. Ideally you'd buy a dualcore CPU, just because, but that's more expensive of course.

    Yeah.. Etiher go with the Core 2 Duo processor or the Turion X2 processor. The regular Turion 64 is good but is no the top technology. Even though a single core processor will probally suit your needs. I recommend that you go with a dual core though.
