    Hi guys

Im new to the forum so please bare with me.

I have the above laptop and would like to upgrade the RAM to 4gig. Which i think is easily done.

But can i upgrade the CPU and the graphics chip while im in there?

If so can someone point me in the right direction of what i should be looking for on the net?

You probably can upgrade the CPU, but NOT the GPU.

    Type II ATI HD3650 256MB GDDR3

    Hi there,

I have an acer aspire 7520g and i have replaced the GPU. The above mentioned card is the only real upgrade card that makes sense. It's way faster than the original. full HD 1080P playback is now possible, before it wasn't. There is hardware accelleration for H264 video and for X264 the combination of gpu and cpu is fast enough to play full hd 1080P.

    Hi there.

Can i ask where did you buy both the GPU and the CPU from? have you links? How much did they cost?

Also do i by a PCI graphics card and take the chip then install into my laptop?

Ok so no you can not use a gpu from a pci graphics card as they are usually soldered directly to the pcb. I only replaced the gpu (video card) not the cpu.
you can buy the card from the guys of MXM-UPGRADE http://www.mxm-upgrade.com/7520G.html at the bottom of the page are two " BUY NOW " buttons.
