    Greetings....

Brand new here and my 1st post.
I recently swapped out the stock 320gB drive on my Acer Aspire 5515 to do a clean install of Win 7 Home Pro. I discovered what Acer was referring to when t heir website claimed no upgrade possible. The OS functions perfectly....it's simply that the touchpad mouse has no drivers available for 7. So I must keep the virtual keyboard hovering above all my typing,(keeping the cursor on the space bar) so that letters, words and entire sentences don't go flying all over the page.
I can live with this but I replaced the keyboard with a new one thinking perhaps coffee, (aka BEER) may have found it's way beneath the keys, lol. Looks great but same old challenges!
Does ANYONE have a suggestion or a driver workaround for the Aspire 5515, Model KAW60 touchpad? Is there a substitute pad available that replaces the stock unit? ACER is 100% unwilling to discuss any alternatives....other than buying another laptop!
    Thanks, everyone.

Well you could check to see if the touchpad has the same connection and physical size as a modern one.

I'm not going to hunt round for your laptop to find pictures so you might want to post links to detailed information or get pictures yourself.

    Thanx...

I actually found a work around from Synapics website: Synamup! Downloaded, installed and PROBLEM SOLVED!
Everything is like new and I'm a happy camper.
