    Hi there

I recently had to replace the keyboard on my A500-17X (PSAR3E-00N005EN) and I decided to replace it with the backlit model of the same keyboard. The original keyboard wasn't backlit but I thought i'd give it a go anyway as it was the same price. I installed it into my laptop and everything is working fine apart from the backlight function. There was even a port for the power ribbon to go into so it is definately installed properly. I read on other forums that it is sometimes an issue with the BIOS or HWsetup but my BIOS doesn't give me the option for it and neither does HWsetup.
I was just wondering whether there is a way of getting the backlight to work on the keyboard. Perhaps a different driver or changing the BIOS/HWsetup somehow? Would appreciate any answers! Oh and I have tried FN+Z!!

    Regards

    James
