I did end buying the Clevo M860TU 1900x1200, 9800m GT 512 mb, P8400, 4 gb ddr3 ram, HDD 160 gb 5400 rmp - win xp
3Dmark06 9208 with cuda 2.0 9315 - that was with 2 gb ddr3 ram

( I made this thread because I wantet to buy a high end laptop for once )

 

Seeing as to how the 9800M GTS and 9800m GTX aren't available in machines yet, this thread is somewhat premature.

To find 9800m GT performance, look at 8800M GTX. Or do a search. There are a few threads.

I dont think the 9800m gtx is that much better then the 8800M GTX
but that 9800m gtx will be cheaper ...

 

9800GTS is in the Gateway P-7811 (but if you want to be technical, the 7811 isnt out for about 2 more weeks, so you're right in saying its not available).

9800M GTS and 9800M GTX aren't available in machines YET. Introduced by Nvidia does not mean they're actually available yet. For the matter, the 9700M GTS is also available.

FYI, Kobalt sells re-branded Clevo notebooks.

 

I'll even use Kobalt as an example.

The 9800M GTX is unavailable yet. You can order it, but it's not available yet. The only one that's currently available is the 9800M GT. The 9800M GTX isn't available for sale till sometime in mid-August, unless something comes up. You can order the machine, but you won't get it till the 9800M GTX is RELEASED.

Do you understand that?
