    For other users, you don't have to have a cyber-system notebook for this to work. The correct model # is the M570RU. Those are the ones that the 8800M GTX is available for atm.

    A hoof and a talon I would imagine...

    As for the OP I just like to say that I respect the fact that you bought the latest laptop video card but after looking at your fps in crysis one can't help but notice that gaming on 30 fps is noob... And it's with no actions going on, I would imagine if you have 10's of enemies running at you firing and making interactive explosions that destruct houses with realistic phisics at the same time your fps keeping all settings constant would probably drop down to 10 - 15 rendering the game barely playible but certainly not by any means a desirable experience...

    well, if u say so. :) min. fps i got in combat is 25 fps

    btw. @ Wu Jen: if u want to buy a 8800M GTX @ cyber-system.de, u have to own a original cyber-system notebook;

    i know that they use the M57RU Barebone.

    regards

    sorry to dissapoint you I think that minimum should be at least 60. I mean If I spend cash on the latest card I don't want to play games with crap 25 fps LOL!

    could you tell us what settings you need to get 60+ fps? I'd like to know so that I can decide whether I should buy one or just stick with the 8600M GT

    It's not just cyber-systems that has them available. Any reseller has them now. Not all of them are as prickish. Most will let you buy from them even if you didn't buy a notebook from them. They sell parts, they make $$ by selling parts. There is no Clevo monopoly to be had by not selling.

    Crytek is working on a patch (and another one right after that one) that addresses better compatiblity with DX9 and DX10. Hopefully that'll boost most peoples fps.

    The real question IMO is how do I mod my 8800 GTS into a GTX. Other than the 32 fewer stream processors, there is no difference. That extra bit of muscle takes you from medium to high in crysis.

    When I take my machine apart I'll have to look for laser cut traces.
