The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. Where can i get the latest driver?

i wanted to know because of my red colour problem and also because when i'm gaming randomly the game freezes (tried both far cry and GRID) and then flashs black and then back to the game and then black again (repeatedly) for about 10 seconds and from then on the game is laggy.. the temp i checked when that happened was 65c

The optimal drivers usually are the OEM drivers. Have you tried the latest driver from Dell? or one of their previous versions? What driver version do you have right now?

As for looking in laptopvideo2go, you could either search with the video card or just browse through for the latest drivers, see if the card is listed there, and take it. Make sure you have the modded inf file. But remember, the modded inf would render your WHQL signing useless, and WHQL is needed for bluray playback (if you have a bluray drive)

Is this problem new? Or are you new to playing the games? I only ask to consider or rule out other potential problems.

Just check the forums at laptopvideo2go.com...when you click on a driver, it lists all the GPUs supported by the driver. You could try the latest drivers (180 series), I'm sure that the 8600M GT would be supported.
