    I've heard of a 1tb 2'5 ssd... not very price friendly lol.

    but it makes sense a 750gb 2'5 hdd because 2tb 3'5 were released. it's usually how it works.

    750GB laptop drive is quite possible today. Some companies (I presume Samsung or Hitachi, but I am not sure) already have the technology to squeeze 3 platters in a standard 9.5mm drive. They had a 3-platter 500GB drive with 166GB/platters before.

    So since the platter capacity is 250GB/platter today, it should be fairly easy to pack 3 of them... It won't be amazing if they start to sell 750GB drives (with 3 platters) next week...

    However 750GB drives with 2 platters may take several months... It will be an entire new generation with 375GB/platter. And that will be the time when we will have 1 TB drives with 3 platters again...
