    I don't think so, even if you used heavy applications, which is not the case.
    I play a few games, use some heavy applications and would never do that upgrade.

    sure thing, but this kind of uprgade would give you and extra 20% speed for your processor because of +10% on CPU and 1/2 on cache

    No way will it give you 20% more.

    Overall you wont notice the difference. Unless you have $$$ to burn dont bother. The fast chip will suck a little more battery life to so thats something to concider.

    2.2 / 2.0 = 1.1 or 110% power or 10% faster

    plus

    difference between 2MB cache and 4MB cache

    wouldn't it be at least 15% > 20% faster than ?

    The marginal analysis must meet this condition for purchase:

    Utility(%Speed_Difference) >=Utility(%Price_Difference)

    Since we cannot guess your substitution rate between your time and value of money, we cannot tell you; this because money has less worth to people with higher income.

    I personally have a low income, but HATE waiting for my computer, hence my trade-off function is different than yours.

    lets take the average case for time>=money and look just @ the PRICE vs.SPEED

    than the price diff is only around 7% and the speed diff is at least double of the price diff

    T7500 might run cooler than T7250 since it has a larger silicon chip than 2MB cache chip, that helps to lower thermal resistance between CPU and heat sink. I noticed T5470 runs hotter than T7500 in my machine.

    No, if your not gaming the upgrade is not worth it. You wont see a difference for your use.

    Hope I could Help
