how bad is 4kb of bad sectors in a 500GB hd (Scorpio Blue)?

how do i fix/remove this bad sectors?

i already reformatted my drive 2x but the 4kb of bad sectors still exists.

i just bought this last month and under warranty but the store is not willing to replace since it is still functional.

    please advise.

    thanks.

As I stated in the other thread, nothing to be done about them. They're simply unusable (probably due to damage of some sort). As for how bad it is? It's 4 kb of lost space. The problem largely depends on how the drive was damaged. If the bad sectors just appeared for no apparent reason, I'd worry about possible future failure of the rest of the drive.

You can always ask WD directly, as they offer the warranty, not the store.
