Well when I run a benchmark (06) when it shows me my scores under graphics card is just say generic vga not a 9800gt why is this?

Also, I setup raid using an intel matrix program I fixed the volume and all that stuff but it still shows that I have a C drive (windows) and E drive(the one I setup) and a d drive(recovery drive). How can I make it so I have to 500gb hdd running in raid 0? I followed the instructions exactly. Thank you guys fr the help and happy gaming!!!!!!

not sure, but I think you will need to reinstall the whole windows, delete the d drive.

for the vga, go to laptopvideo2go.com and check out the forums for the latest 177 series drivers.

as for the RAID, yes, you do need to re-install windows after setting up the RAID array in the bios. otherwise you will get errors and BSOD's. i just recently went through setting up RAID in this laptop, and it was a piece of cake.

when you enable raid support in the bios, it should restart and you'll see a screen that says Intel Matrix Configuration Utility. press the keys needed to enter the utility, and set it up through that. restart the computer afterwards and install windows.

Ok but I did not get a windows installation cd. And also I am connected through dvi but after I run the benchmark it says generic vga instead of my graphics card 9800gt

one explanation could be 3dmark06 is too old to recognize the 9800m GT. you can reinstall your windows on raid0 by using recovery partition i believe.

create recovery discs from the D: partition, as when you set up the RAID it will erase all data from your partitions/drives.
