Just a small question, I have two M18x, with with 3630QM, 675M SLi and 16GB RAM and one with 3840QM, 680M SLi, 32GB RAM. They are similar elswise.

My windows score with my 3840QM is much lower then my 3630QM. My process score are 6.2 with my 3840QM and 7.7 with my 3630QM. My graphic score are 7.9 with the 675M and 7.6 with my 680M.

They all run the same drivers ect. Is this anything to "worrie" about?

have you run real benchmarks like 3Dmark and passmark?

The 3840QM should be like 15% better than the 3740QM.

    Only 3dmark 11 just now, 6500 with the 675SLi and 10500 with the 680SLi

3630QM got 8060 in physics score and 3840QM got 9150 so guess its just windows messing it up :)

WEI is a pointless, meaningless benchmark which only gives you a wild ballpark of system performance. 3DMark and the like are much better for that.

Anyway, for gaming I don't see the point in the -3840QM. Or SLI/Crossfire. :p

Well, I see the point of increased preformance, in SLi supported games for high resoion applications.

Except those games are few and far between.

Is the TIM properly applied - it may be throttling itself due to overheating?

Running a real world test (mine would be RAW image conversion) - do both systems fall in line of expectations?

Easy to blame WEI (and I do too by default) but sometimes it isn't the only issue (as the re-install proved for the other issues).
