    Now I think it's going to be harder for people to argue that 5400 RPM is as fast as 7200RPM, people always mention the 5400RPM 320GB being as fast as a 200GB 7200RPM

    What do you mean with '3*'?

    Hitachi and Samsung 500GB are already available afaik.

    It doesnt look worth it, the benchmark was only ~10mb/sec faster than the previous generation 7k200, which is far less in price.
    I just dont know, but I cant afford either at the moment, so hopefully the other manufacturers release theirs soon.
