My m4600 is due 1/5/2011. It comes with a 7200 rpm 750 gb hdd. I have some doubts regarding the ssd hence the poll.
Is it really worth? Quite a few people end up sending them back due to problems.
BTW - I will run Linux (Ubuntu).

Newegg.com - Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD2 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Was using a smaller version of this for a month. Really happy with the results and Crucial has one of the best deals in terms of price/performance/reliability. Is it worth it? Really depends on what you are doing and how annoyed you are by waiting for programs/os to load. The upgrade is the most noticeable in the "snappiness" of the laptop, but it's not critical and is only meant for people who can afford it. Samsung is pretty good as well from what I hear.

I chose samsung but I would also say intel 510/320's are pretty good (review based)

EDIT: just saw your price range, nevermind
