if one were to try a 24v psu on a laptop that uses a 19v charger, would it kill it?

i wanted to get a 180w psu but can only find a 24v one. sorry if this is a dumb question.

+/- 5% is fine. +/- 10% is mostly OK. Yours is +26% which is crazy.

Go ahead if you would like to burn your laptop.

If it were the reverse then I'd say go ahead, but +5V probably won't go down too well.

If it were 25% off either way I wouldn't do it. Period.

I wouldn't even do it if it was +-1V... Messing with the voltage not a good idea.

There is some leeway tho, that's why I said +/- 5% is fine.
Do you think that an adapter marked as 19V always gives you 19.0000 V at all times?
