    umm... you can picture the size difference between that and a 2.5" laptop drive, right?

    thats going to be expensive, 2k thats a lot
    that looks very big - how would that fit in a Laptop?

    espencially as you can buy 512gb ssds right now, just get two into a two-bay-notebook with raid0 and it will perform around the same, but fit into a laptop.

    and if you know where, you can even get a 1tb ssd drive at 2.5" afaik. but you can't pay it :) just.. it's possible, that's all.. :)

    I think the z drive uses a LSI raid card, which does raid 0 over the numerous drives it has. That is why it can do around 600mb/sec.

    The technology is not really their, all it is is a raid card with the ssd's connected right to it. Honestly you can do the same thing without buying it. All you need is a few sata cables and a raid card, and a few SSD's.

    not to pick on OCZ but wonder why they didnt include the 4K writes in the atto bench?

    2K for a pci SSD and it still stutters on small random writes :p
