    Hi. :D
I'm not sure if this is possible, but I have a 15'6" inch 1600X900 laptop. I saw on other laptops that 1920x1080 screens look amazingly good. So I was wondering if it's possible to change the screen at home (like HDD or RAMs) or is it something I should do through a company?

1600X900 VS 1920x1080. Which one is better? I plan on watching HD Videos and and some gaming.

It is possible to do so.

What kind of laptop do you have? It will help determine what screen you need. Not all 1080 screens fit in every laptop. If the manufacturer does sell your laptop with a 1080 option, it'll be easier to get it. If not, a comparable screen should work also.

Going from the 1366x768 on the HP dv6 series to 1080 also requires a new video cable on top of the new screen.

You should also find the maintenance manual of your laptop that shows you how to take it apart. It's doable but you have to be careful to keep track of the screws and not break anything in the process.

If you would like to watch 1080p vids, I would recommend 1920x1080.

ps: the original post has changed ...
