I am aware I will most likely be told this is 'impossible' or not worth it but, oh well. I am currently looking for a 15.4" touchscreen to give my laptop. for the last couple of years I have been thinking about getting a tablet pc for notes etc, and especially since starting a new college semester. But, for the price, current tablet offerings just don't seem to be worth it.

So I would either like to replace the lcd on my laptop with a touchscreen or add touchscreen to my laptop and figure out some kind of switch for the two screens. If I just add it to the back of my current screen it does not have to be the full 15.4". My case is falling apart so I'm probable going to have to overhaul it anyways and I have enough acrylic to build a new case, and I want to add a few things like better cooling, second hard drive, more usb etc.

So if anyone knows of a place I can get a 15.4" touchscreen it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Tim

If your budget is high enough, then it's possible. I believe there are people who will mod the 15.4" MBP into a touchscreen.

Thanks, I have no doubt that it can be done, it will take some work for the case but I should be fine with that.

Mybiggest obsticle now is actually finding the hardware. Doing a short search I have found smaller screens and attachements to emulate a touchscreen.

I guess I should hunt down these mbp mods and try to find the supplier.

    Thank,

    Tim
