I have a media player that died two weeks ago
I disassembled it and saw one of the ics is brown so the main board became out of order.
but the mini hard disk(toshiba 30gb 1.8 inch) is healthy.
and I want to use it now as a portable storage device.
it has a 50 pin slot & toshiba site says that , it needs a MCD-D50 Series by DDK Connector to be used
What is it like? I have`nt seen this connector anywhere.
    look at it`s output port:

I heard somewhere else that there are some mini hard readers for notebooks that are something like a ram reader
and they have a usb output.if this is possible I will use it for my laptop as portable storage.

please inform me how i can use this mini hard disk as a portable storage device.

    thanks
