No one knows for sure yet since it just came out and hasn't shipped yet, but hopefully they fixed this issue.
Just be patient until some reviews come out.

The T440P is extremely thick and heavy in comparison to the P34G V2. For the $1500 range for a slim and powerful laptop, the P34G is by far the best choice. Fan noise was a problem with the P34G and it was fixed with a BIOS update. At 100%, the fans will be loud, just like any other laptop. This is a must to prevent overheating in a thin laptop. If you are looking at a thin and powerful laptop, this would be the best choice under $1500

The clevo w230ss is comparable with better specs and lower price for a slightly thicker and heavier build

I was choosing between the p34g and the w230ss and went with the w230ss. As a programmer the lack of full size arrow keys and discrete PageUp, PageDown, Home and End keys was a killer for me.

Clevos are a couple hundred cheaper but more bulky.

They tend to be bulky and feel junky.

I'm a programmer too and had the same concern with the P34G. Fortunately you can just use AutoHotKey to make Ctrl + arrow keys do PageUp/PageDown/Home/End. I need those keys when jumping around code in UltraEdit, etc. and it's totally fine. Ctrl + arrows doesn't do anything else anyway, so no issues. The up and down keys not being full size isn't ideal, but you quickly get used to it and don't really think about it.

Granted, I think the keyboards on the P34G are pretty lackluster. Feels cheap compared to other laptops, including the Lenovo Y410P I had beforehand.

There's a video of someone that did the fan test on the V1 and it is notably quieter.

I'm looking at buying a new laptop and have done quite a lot of research - well that's part of the fun isn't it? :)

I'm based in the UK, does anyone know if there's somewhere I can go have a 'play' with the keyboard and trackpad - I use my laptop constantly and _only_ use the built in keyboard and trackpad so if these are not right, I'm in trouble...

Also the spec. mentions that you can still get this with Windows 7 but I can't seem to find anyone selling it with this O/S\ in the UK... Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Robin
