    aero 15 xa OLED display problem "screen bleeding" on grey background

    Hi everyone,

    yesterday i got my new Aero 15x (OLED UHD Display i7-9750H RTX 2070 Max) Notebook and it has screen banding / bleeding on the OLED display, when having a grey background, or for example using windows 10 dark mode.

    This occurs especially 20%-100% brightness on grey color or any other dark color with some grey.

    This occurs especially when working in darker area, during daylight it is harder to see.
    I did some research on the internet and didn't find much info, just one guy that faced this issue on 4-5 replacement devices before he decided to buy another brand instead.

    I am wondering if its a serial failure or general issue with this panel generation or device.

    QUICK update : i got another replacement from my dealer with exact same issue and now opened up a ticket at Gigabyte support to get some info on the problem. I want to avoid to send my replacement back and just get a 3rd Laptop with exact same issue. Keep you posted.

    EDIT Today : i got feedback from Gigabyte support now after 5 days waiting for reply

    they pointed out that the picture i took was with 1/15 of a sec exposure time and that this is not how the human eye sees the world. So basically they stated that due to the long exposure time, the picture shows the effect more dramatically. They gave the hint to re-check the so called Black MURA effect with following picture settings R/G/B (values 110/110/110) with > 300 nits ambient light. If it is still visible, it seems out of spec and i should go for RMA.
