My Aorus x7 v6 has a 256GB M.2 PCIe SSD
I recently bought and installed a 500GB Samsung 960 Pro NVMe for gaming purposes. After reading a lot of reviews I realised that this is one of the best SSD's out at the moment. Is it worth (and keep in mind I would have to spend a lot of time researching on how to do this as I've never done it) transferring my operating system over to my new SSD? Will it be a lot faster? My boot time is already very quick but will this make it a lot quicker?

The answer is almost certainly not. The OEM NVME SSDs have excellent read speeds and average write speeds. Windows boot time mostly relies on sequential read, so switching over to a better NVME SSD will hardly improve load times. Windows is extremely snappy in both SSDs.

Worth switching operating system to new SSD?
