    Hi guys!

So I'm a complete noob with this kind of stuff so needed some advice. I want to buy this SSD because my current one is only 128GB.

Will this HD be fine for my computer and will I be able to fit it in since I already have an SSD? Mine is one of those PCiE SSD's.

Has anyone got a video of someone fitting a new HD?

Also what screwdriver so I need as the screws are like a star shape?

    Thanks!

Need a hex. Not hard to find. And
It's very easy to do. Pop off the back. Unplug and plug in.

You need a Hex shaped screwdriver is all the first part meant.

You unscrew the backplate and then screw the new drive into a slot. What form factor is the 850 evo? Is it a 2.5" ssd or an m.2 ssd? (does it look like a small thin long rectangle like the pcie drive, or a more squarish rectangle)

This amazing ss I took shows where it is. the red circle is the connector you just slide in. You should be able to secure the ssd with screws or something.

You need to go into disk management and format the drive. A quick google will help you there, it's easy.

Sorry to reopen this old topic but I have finally bought an SSD. Not sure if this was answered but since I already have a HD and the PCiE SSD can I even add a third HD (SSD)?

Super easy, dismantle as before, remove the solitary screw in an emtpy M.2 space, insert new M.2 PCIe SSD, hold down and replace screw.

And swap the HDD for that 850 SATA SSD if you are keeping it ;)

Just to make this as idiot proof as possible (as i'm braindead with this type of stuff) is this where I insert an m.2? And when I receive the m.2 will it come with bits to screw it in?

Yes, spot on. Remove the small silver screw with the marker pen mark on it.

Odd, I'm not sure why it's not showing in Disk Management.

    Hopefully someone else can help.

Edit: You have the Samsung driver installed?

No option seemed to come up for a driver. Do I need to go to the samsung website and find it? On the samsung magician program it says firmware version up to date does that mean anything?

Edit: This is my disk management
