My personal review of the Aero 15x. I’ve ordered the 1070 version. First impressions: keyboard does not need a lot of pressure to type as I was expecting reading the reviews, but it feels like really soft and it is still softening after usage. The keys seem a little bit cheap, though. It takes a little bit to get used to it. The first unit that I’ve received had a problem with the the ‘o’ key: sometimes it doesn’t register light input. The new one is fine. There are 16GB of RAM installed and it is braded V-Color instead of the G-Skill in the review units. The touchpad is very smooth and precise even though with the default driver the device had problems in distinguishing a pinch to zoom from scroll, but it can be easily fixed by using Lenovo’s windows precision driver. Regarding the screen, I don’t have any light bleed issues and it is quite bright and color accurate, in particular if I activate the Pantone calibration. Really impressive battery life, I’m able to make it last 7h by web browsing and watching videos.

Did you have any alternative Notebooks in mind before getting this?
I'm currently deciding on this which is a bit more business like or the omen 15 dc series as it is not much thicker for more ram and 1tb for 500+ Euro less with but at a price of shortes battery life due to gsync. . -
Interesting about the keyboard. I am an Aero 15 owner (7700HQ/GTX1060 version) and I still find the keyboard stiff to use. By stiff I mean that each key requires more pressure to actuate than I personally prefer.

I'm thinking about ordering it from amazon.com and if encounter any kind of a problem, I'll replace it the same day, and hopefully get new flawless version.
