So I just powered up this Acer G246HL monitor, but I couldn't get past 60hz. I've read it requires dual link DVI, but the P55 only has VGA/HDMI/USB-C. How do I get it to work?

You can't unless the HDMI interface is 2.0, which IIRC it is not. If the USB-C port is also Thunderbolt, you could try an adapter but I'm not certain how well that will work either.

The HDMI port is 2.0. What I did now is I got a new HDMI cable(not sure if it makes any difference) and I plugged it in the display. It showed all the refresh rates up to 144hz. However, when I clicked apply it reverts back to 60hz?
