I have the p37 laptop I bought a couple weeks ago. I just realized that my frame rates are around 20fps lower than they used to, and my Heaven benchmark went from ~1700 down to ~1000. I can't for the life of me find where this was changed. I've looked under "Intel HD Graphics Control Panel" which is set to maximum performance. Windows power settings are also max. I updated video drivers which didn't change anything. What am I missing?
Edit: I just ran CPU-Z and it's only running at 1700mhz. If i unplug the laptop, it goes down to 800mhz, then when I plug it back in it'll go to 3500mhz for about 20 seconds, then back down to 1700mhz and is locked there

I would check the temps to see if it happens to be throttling.. If it's the skylake models you can heavily undervolt by at least -150MV using intel XTU

This seriously depends the sillicon lotery.......Dont count on that on an average.

Ask for help in the Throttlestop guide. Maybe @unclewebb can help you. Also monitor temperature when this throttle mess start.

Which P37 laptop you have? It really depends on which CPU you have. Like HeardEmSay said, check the CPU temperature and it does looks like thermal throttling.
P37 lower performance issues - throttling?
