I just got my P35X V3 today and I'm having issues with the GPU. When launching games (ex The Witcher 1 from Steam) it doesn't notice that I have a 980m and won't launch because it's trying to use the 4600 instead. I went to Manage 3d settings and forced it to use the 980m and it still wouldn't launch. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, but that didn't work either. I was, however, able to launch TF2 and Sonic Generations, but they were both using the 4600.

Does this laptop use Optimus? Is there a way around the 4600 to allow the 980m to be the default one?

I'm sure the card works because it's detecting it, but I know that doesn't always mean it's in working condition.

Any advice/help at all would be great.

    Thank you.

    Open dxdiag. Any problems?

Can you run 3dmark? Are you running stock nvidia drivers that shipped with the laptop?
