    Dear all,

I am a proud owner of the Gigabyte P35W with a 1080P screen and all in all I am happy with the laptop.
However I have 2 topics which I would like to discuss withouth having to go through all the threads and maybe someone can point me in the right direction or tell me their experience.

    1) the most buging one is there seem to be a few high intensity spots appearing on the screen and they get more by the month. This can only be noticed in white screen background and it apears as if some pixels or small regions of the screen are brighter than others. It is not hindering anything and the pixels are not stuck - I also can not see them when in games or on other background than white, but since I use the machine also for work Word editing is a little bit annoying. Now I have like 3 regions with a total of 5 spots where they are visibly brighter.
Is there a known issue with the IPS screens in general? and maybe is there a way to fix this?

    2) The black aluminium finish seems to be comming of even without real scratches. This is especially noticable on the left corner of the laptop where the hand usually rests. Are the other owners having similar experiences and has someone maybe found a way how to die it new?

Appart from that my only quarell is that even after half of year of use and getting used to the keboard I still quite often hit Numlock instead of Backspace, which is already reasonably spaced... Anyone else have this?

    BR,
    mAvis

Those white spots are caused by some sort of pressure on the LCD screen. This can be caused by a not correctly installed screen screen panel inside of the chassis.

And what if I have not changed the panel, but it came from the factory like that?

Then in my opinion it is a warranty case. Backlight bleeding is in the grey zone and depends on where you bought it most of the time. LCD bruising out of the box is really a problem.
