I recently bought a P35k V3. I love the laptop but I have one problem with it. I have been unable to make the internal speakers produce any noise. The headphone jack works just fine, but unplugged I can't get any sound to come from it. I've tried going through the hardware and sound to make sure it wasn't muted by accident, as well as updating and uninstalling and reinstalling the realtek hd audio driver. If anyone could help out with this problem it would be much appreciated.

Well I ended up figuring out what the problem was. I had uninstalled smart manager when I first started using it, because frankly, I hate the damn thing. After I had uninstalled it was when the speakers crapped out on me. I reinstalled it and its working fine now. So I guess I have a new question. Is there any way to uninstall it without my speakers going dark on me?

Same problem with P35W V.2. Really annoying to be stuck with SmartManager. Also, every time I start my computer it will open Sound app, which I apparently is connected to my SmartManager-shortcut.

Yes, unfortunately external audio playback is affected by that proprietary software. You can try to disable it from msconfig, but I don't think that will work well.
