    Just noticed they finally put the P34W onto their website - GIGABYTE - Laptop - Laptop - P series - P34W v3

Looking forward to seeing this (Probably at CES). Only gripe is no display port and 3GB VRAM. Other than that it's looking pretty awesome and i'm pretty sure my next notebook is going to be between this and the 970m Aorus X3.

Yeah, I was starting to worry that they backed down with it. The 3GB is a bit of a letdown, but I feel it's still plenty for single screen 1080p gaming.

Let's just hope they don't go nuts with the price. In Europe the XMG C404 (basically Gigabyte P34G v2) is around 1300 euros, hopefully this one doesn't get above the 1500 mark.

Also, it seems they have decided to go all black with the chassis this time. I don't know how I feel about that, I think the silver aluminum finish was cool, but let's hope the black finish doesn't look cheap.
Anyhow, this laptop is surely a freaking beast given its size and weight. Been dreaming about something like this for years!

Hopefully the price is kept down. I'm hoping to see a iteration that just has an SSD or two inside. I guess we will see more at CES

Can't wait for CES and for at least a couple of reviews!

I'm a little bit concerned about temps (the v2 had high CPU temps, about 90 degrees max) and about the black finish. Let's hope it looks at least as good as the silver one.

Also, the website doesn't seem to specify anything about the HDMI port. A 2.0 port would be great, given the lack of displayport/thunderbolt.

Definitely two SSDs would be perfect, or at least a configuration with the msata SSD only and a free 2.5 inch bay for the future (I have a spare 840 Evo myself to put inside that beast).

I wouldn't get my hopes up about that. they've probably been struggling with making the CPU + 970m run cool enough in that chassis, and maybe that was one way of making that (Just my guess, though).

It may look better if it's well made. My main concern is the material finish, perhaps something like the sandblasted aluminum finish on the new clevos would be nice.

That " (BOOSTED VRAM)" explains the original 6GB claim. I mean I think Excaliber PC are trustworthy enough to confidently sayt there'll be two models.

Thanks for the update, Nand@. I'm super excited, can't wait to see reviews soon!
