Hi all,
As mentioned above, I'd like to ask my fellow members here to help me on configuring the settings for P35x v5 in the software. I need help in this as I have absolutely no clue on how to set the config file for my laptop. I've read a lot of good things about the software everywhere hence why I'm opting for FanControl instead of Smart Manager.
Gigabyte's Fan Tweak utility in Smart Manager (5.7.1, or even any versions before that lol) is useless tbh, I don't think it even works. I've done multiple changes in Fan Tweaks but I can't tell if the fans are actually responding to the tweaks when I game (fan tweak settings was on 100% speed). My CPU gets to a high of 99C which is unacceptable considering that I've just bought this laptop last week. Also, the temp could drop to a max of 90C with an unfavourable effect of throttling as FPS in-game drops to around 50% or so.
In light of the aforementioned dismays, I'd like to ask all the skilled experts here on how to deal with the software config so I can rest easy knowing that the fan is actually doing its job.
I'd like a setting where the fan can be controlled manually or in a predetermined way on how I want it to operate.
Please point me to the right direction on how to set the config file or maybe anyone could create the config file instead for the benefit of all the current & future P35x v5 owners.
I highly appreciate your time to read my post. I look forward to everyone's reply. Thanking you in advance.

Maybe something else you should try is a repaste?
This poster has the same laptop and repasting seemed to make around a 20 degree celcius difference!

If you try it, please post here your experience. -
Thank you for your suggestions but for now I'm very fearful of tearing down the laptop since I'm not experienced at all. I've heard bouts of people damaging components of the P35x due to how the system works. I heard that this laptop doesn't even do a full shut down despite prompting it to do so and the effect is such that, handling the laptop poses a risk to the HDD and other components as they are still operating even when the bottom lid is opened. Reason for that is because the manufacturer wants the laptop to always boot as quickly as possible every time.
Despite everything, I do have repasting in mind and it would really help if you could point me to the right direction with a teardown video of this laptop (P35x V5) and/or written instructions. I will also consider having a professional help to get the job done but for now, that is impossible as I have to use the laptop for impromptu developments/alerts for my work (I'm an equity analyst).
With that being said, my only option for now is to get the fans to be controlled manually via NBFC and/or purchasing a (heat extractor?) or two.
I'm contemplating on buying it but I need a solid review about it and I've not come across any as the reviewers only mentioned they 'do the job' and they did not show any evidences of temperature decrease via temperature monitoring softwares etc.
