    I bought from Amazon a new Aero15. i78750h, 16GB ram, 2070 maxq.

The performance isnt quite what i was hoping, but, maybe i am expecting to much? I just played a round of battlefied 5, and in order to get above 60fps, i have to set everything to low. Even then, it barely scrapes above 60fps. I can play games like overwatch on medium at 80-90 fps, but it seems weird to get a laptop with 144hz display, but not be able to run games anywhere near that.

    I updated al drivers

I undervolted via XTU by -.150

The XTU bench mark is 997
    PCMark is 5200
    3dMark time Spy is 6200

Division 2, i have to set to medium to low, to get about 60fps.

    I uninstalled the AI tool

Is this performance about what i should expect? Anything more i can do?

Also -- I have 1 mechanical issue. My left shift key is pretty finicky. I pretty much have to hit it directly in the middle for it to register. Anyone else have an issue like this? How was it resolved?

Try disable Ray Tracing, it is too taxing for mobile card and generally not much use on FPS. Your benchmark seems ok.

Quick update - i made sure i manually set to performance power (vs auto). i just played Overwatch. With the game on high, i was about to get between 80-120 fps. temp peaked at about 82 degrees while undervoted. a lot of the fan seems to be underneath this laptop, should i consider some sort of stand to raise it?

i'm not running Battlefield with Ray Tracing. it just seems odd i have to set it to low. :-(

I ordered an extra stick of Ram. Hopefuy going dual channel helps. Can someone post some of their benchmarks / experience? i mean, overwatch last night wasnt aweful, but, i am definately not getting the Ultra @ 144 that some people claim.

also...this shift key is killing me. I miss just about every capital letter i try. It seems that my natural type is to hit the right hand side of the leftshift key. does this happen for anyone else? These keys look fragile, so i am hesitant to try to take it off to see whats going on.

Another update - installed the RAM. (I ordered from Crucial, so, my laptop is now running samsung ram and crucual in dual channel. Performance boost was immedate. On high setting, Overwatch is now running at an almost constant 144hz, and I played a long evening of Division 2, on High, and it never dropped below 60fps, and was usually around 100 to 120.

Regarding the Keys, no. You should be able to handle pressing the Shift Key dead on. Does it feel stuck to someone on one side when you press the key? Something could be keeping it from registering on the other side. If there doesn't seem to be anything blocking it, I'd check it in with Gigabyte while its under warranty.

Glad to see the Memory Upgrade is helping with your Overwatch gaming experience! If you aren't getting the Shift Key looked into for repair, I'd like to know how well that has helped you after playing for about a week.

I'll report back in after a few days of gaming, but, so far in all games i am playing, the increase is quite noticable. I need to do more testing to Narrow scope. One thing i also did was force the power control to "performance" vs "auto". I'll let you know in a few days how its working.

For the shift key, it doesnt feel like anything is blocking it (like a crumb, etc), but, it does seem like it is ever-so-slightly raised on the right side (compared to the enter key, which appears to be the same size). I havent found a video yet of someone taking these caps off, and they seem so delicate that i am hesitant to pop it off without knowing exactly which way to do it

Just replace it under the warranty, I have the same problem with my spacebar (it end up popping out every now and then), and they replace the whole keyboard.

I did a warranty repair on my machine, it took me a month. I also went through my original vendor so that added some time. I would assume a minimum of 2 weeks in the USA though

If you purchased it direct, it usually an estimated 10 Business days/2weeks for the repair unless they need to order something in, but it's not too bad. If it was purchased with customizations through a reseller, it could be a couple of days to get a case created or shipping time and redirect if it has to be shipped to the reseller first.
