:) Hello everyone, I really hope you can help me out here been going crazy over this for weeks!

My main concern in picking between those two laptops is

    1. The surface heat: I don't care how hot it gets under the hood (within acceptable levels of course) what I do care about is the keyboard, palm rest areas.

    2. Fan NOISE: if its louder than the game you are playing in my opinion it makes the device useless.

Now I have seen and read so many random opinions that more than not conflict with each other. Can someone please, for the love of everything good in this multiverse we live in, help me out? is there any legit reviews out there with accurate temp and fan noise levels for these laptops?

Also if you own or had a chance to play with either, please be extremely & brutally honest with how loud the fan and how high/low the surface temp is, :( again heard way too many conflicting and sometimes almost hateful or boastful comments about both laptops.

Thank you so much for your help, I have truly been driven to the edge of insanity with this for close to a month now :err: and I truly need your honest help.

    My best regards,

    ZK85

Both are very noisy (although the sager with Prema mod and entertainment profile has been reported to manage to stay pretty silent).
Both get noticeably warm at keyboard/surface level (low 50's after heavy extended use).

@ sangemaru: Did you have both devices in hand and test them so you can talk about actual experiences?

    @ ZK85:
Although i have no experience with both laptops i would refer to notebookcheck, as their noise level tests as well as temperature measures are highly unified and therefore very comparable with each other.

I understand you and it's really hard to get a correct impression through reviews or videos. Where the noise level seemed to be quite high on XoticPC's videoreview (but with the micro directly next to the fan vents and additionally with jumpy fan behviour, which wasn't reported by any of the users here in the 'P34G v2' thread) the noise levels seem to be extraordinary low at the videos of the user 'Sebi97'.

So i would recommend to take a look at the notebookcheck reviews for best possible comparison.
    Test Clevo W230SS
The review of the P34G v2 is expected to come the next days on the german site.

In the end it's always a very subjective (apart from measures numbers of course) thing, because, as you have written about your findings of reviews so far, everyone has another subjective sight on fan noise and chassis temps.
So if you have done your homework with studiying reviews, videos and threads, i would say go for your favorite laptop und test it out yourself. If it's really not acceptable to you, then your have extactly for reasons like that the right of rescission (at least in germany within 14 days).
