Just received a brand new x7v6. Beautiful machine, very high quality feel to everything but the keyboard is going crazy on me.

Several issues happen periodically with no evident cause:

    1) Esc key periodically activates by itself and stays on, booting me out of any menus I'm in or try to open.
    2) Fn key periodically stops working (fn keys don't do anything when it's like this).
    3) When fn key doesn't work, I noticed that I also cannot use the left Shift key with any of the letters in the lowest row (won't type zxcvb...)

Sometimes, these problems go away and everything works as it should. Any chance to fix this or troubleshoot it somehow? I've updated all the drivers via the included software. I even uninstalled drivers and let windows reinstall. nothing. Any suggestions?

After googling specifically keyboard issues with Aorus, it's apparent that a lot of V6 units shipped with seriously defective keyboards and should have been recalled. I see a lot of similar complaints about keyboards and Aorus is basically shrugging them off.

Too bad because the laptop is absolutely freaking beautiful. Shame to have to return such a laptop over a keyboard issue of all things.

Looking at the responses from Aorus, I don't think I'll be getting another one of their laptops either.

Aorus is not known for great customer service. Much the opposite, in fact. If nothing else, return your X5 v6 and get an X5 v7 from a reseller like XoticPc, GentechPC, or HIDevolution. Then you get your support through them, and not Gigabyte.

As per Aorus forums, V7s still have these issues with the keyboard. Mind blown.

Also, don't guys like Xoticpc basically use the manufacturer's warranty and do repairs through them anyway?
