Having weird connectivity issues on my laptop.

The internet will randomly drop to limited connectivity for no reason. This does not happen on any other device in the house just this pc. The only way to solve it is to disconnect and reconnect to the internet and it will be perfectly fine again for about a hour then the same will happen. Obviously its not a major issue but bloody annoying when you're in an online match...

I have updated drivers, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Killer Wireless program but nothing makes a difference.

    Any ideas?

    Two come to mind:
Temporarily disable your antivirus and see if the connection is stable, if it is, re-enable it and poke through the settings, there's likely something in there causing connection issues.
Update your router's firmware. The existing firmware is probably fine for your older devices (and cell phones/tablets, those will connect to pretty much anything), but this one may need newer. It's also something that gets overlooked a lot because the "every device works but one" type problems usually make people incorrectly rule out external causes.

How would I go about updating my routers firmware?

The most straightforward way may be to try to access your router from your web browser. Default login is often "admin" but not sure if you created or remember your password. Then once in the router interface can navigate and try to find a section for firmware upgrade then may be able to download it and install it at that point. BUT if you do this you may reset all your router settings, not sure if you want to do that if other devices are working well. See here:
    https://www.google.com/amp/www.howt...-configure-in-your-routers-web-interface/amp/

That said, you may also want first to try just installing the killer drivers and not the whole software suite. See here:
    http://www.killernetworking.com/driver-downloads/item/killer-drivers-64bit

The download should contain just drivers for just your Killer LAN and wireless.

Also need to install the Bluetooth drivers separately as well:

Make sure to create a restore point, that way can roll back if issues.

Could also try power cycling your router.

Thanks have done that lets see what happens!

I seem to be having a fair few issues with this laptop lately. Very annoying. Like the other day i left it running and when I came back everything stopped responding one bit at a time. First Steam, then Chrome, then files and my pc. Then the screen went black and I could do nothing even after an hour of waiting so did a hard reset. This has happened a few times now. Should I be worried?

The same thing happened to me and others. You need to uninstall the Killer software and let windows install just the driver. I was getting disconnected every 15 minutes, but It has been working flawlessly since I did that.

Honestly, all I did was uninstall the Killer software, including the driver. After that, windows just installed a default driver and I haven't had a single drop since.

There's also a driver-only package on their site that doesn't include the killer suite and tends to have good results.
