I gave them a chance to make this right. Their return policy is a sham. I returned my initial one that I made the review on and purchased a second one from elsewhere which I have been using for the last 2 weeks. They received the unit last week on 2/13. I have sent them 3 emails since then asking when I can be expecting my refund, no response. Oh, but they were more than happy to answer all my PRE-SALES questions, even in the middle of the night. I finally get fed up and call today, 6 days later, and ask what is going on. Turns out, standard procedure is to issue refunds 2-3 weeks AFTER receiving the unit. That is ridiculous. They claim they have to contact the manufacturer and send the unit back to them for evaluation before they will issue a refund. I have never heard of this before now. Standard merchant practice is to issue a refund after you have received the unit and inspected it.
I sang their praises but I see that was a mistake. Luckily, merchants are required to credit you back within 15 days of receiving merchandise so I will be filing a dispute next Saturday if no credit has been issued to my account.
This is so frustrating. It's not like it is a couple hundred bucks. We are talking about $2200 being tied up.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention they also said that there was nothing indicating whether I wanted a refund or exchange so he thought it was an exchange. I said no, it was supposed to be a refund. In fact the email I got from them said refund,
" Return for rerefund (refund order 100061294. Please find attached a prepaid FedEx Ground return label. Simply print it out and affix it to the box containing the return merchandise."
Update: The tech I spoke to on the phone emailed me back saying he made a mistake and it was supposed to be a refund and he misread it and asked me to explain what my issues where so I replied back with the information requested. I will assume he's being truthful.

Update:
Called them again this afternoon and they issued the credit. I do appreciate it. Maybe the first guy was incorrect, I don't know, don't really care at this point. They really need to work on the internal management and communication. There's no reason I should have gone 6 days without any kind of update after receiving the equipment back. -
cool hows your second unit and what do you prefer the blade 2015 or the aorus. i do believe the aorus to be very goo d for you to rebuy it.

This is OT but give me a few days and I'll do a new review and comparison video.

Unfortunately my experience with HIDevolution has been pretty much identical to LVNeptune. I ordered a P34W V3 on January 25th and received it on February 2nd. The notebook worked fine for a while but there was a noticeable amount of light bleed on the top right corner of the screen and I attempted to email for a RMA on the 6th. I gave them five days to respond or to reach out to me, but never heard back. Ended up calling them on the 12th and finally got someone to setup a RMA, and he was supposed to send an email on how to return the notebook.
That email never came, so I had to call them again after I got home from work and they told me the person that was supposed to send the email 'forgot' to, so at that point I asked for a full refund on the notebook. They agreed to it and I shipped the notebook back to them the following day. The tracking number indicated they received it on the 18th, and six days later, I haven't heard back from them or seen the charge reversed. I will have to call them yet again tomorrow to see what is going on.jrsx2689 likes this. -
It's just not good CS. After bugging them multiple times ended up getting a refund -$20 which is what they originally said but the time to get it was ridiculous.

I'm still having to continuously contact them to ask on the status of the refund. The notebook has been in their possession since February 18th, and I'm still getting the run-around; nobody has been able to tell me the status of the refund, it's either 'Wait a few days and you should see it' or 'I can't get a hold of my manager right now' response. I would have to recommend to others at this point to not deal with this vendor, unless you live in the area or want to gamble and hope you don't have to do a RMA.

Sorry to hear your bad service from them, while they do have a great selection of laptops there high pricing alone would make me be a little wary.

I gave them another four business days with the promise that the refund was in process and 'it should show up eventually'. I called them in the evening of March 3rd and basically told them I am not going to accept any further promises as I feel like at this point, it's just a tactic to get me off the phone. About 45 minutes after waiting for a 'manager', they told me the refund has been processed and I should see it. I ended up staying on the phone with them for another fifteen minutes and finally got an email with the credit memo.
I'll go back to RJtech for Clevo barebones or try ExcaliberPC the next time I'm in the market for a notebook.
I will not be recommending HIDEvolution from now on
