I don't see anyone that has one complaining but YouTube reviewers and other folks that don't have one seem to make it out to be almost a deal breaker. The Aorus is newer but a lot of it goes towards the Aero versions and comments on the Aorus in videos.

I do have one (15G) and if I were going to use it much in my lap I would be concerned, on a desk of course there's no issue, on a plane/train tray table I really couldn't say but it probably wouldn't bother unless it was a very bumpy ride. The keyboard is just outstanding, as is the performance so for what I bought it for - portable gaming rig and desktop replacement - it well fills the bill.

I’m currently staring at my Aorus 15G as I type. It definitely passes the “wobble” or “travel” test. It’s sturdy and a bit hefty / solid, like the 2019 Razer Blade Mercury. The hinges are close to but not at the level of a razer but it’s very passable. We aren’t talking GS 65 / 75 or 2018 Aero 15 levels of wobble here. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Actually my machine is fitted with the RTX 2070 Super, not the Max-Q variant. I'm not sure they are even offering these any more, but I have an early one. Beside that I would have no idea how to do what you ask; sorry.

I didn't realize they sold SKUs with the full-powered RTX 2070 Super. I would still be curious to take a look at the vbios though. It might still end up being compatible. -
