My recently purchased Gigabyte Aero 15x v8 from Amazon UK won't go back into Windows, instead it keeps going into BIOS. The first time this happened I could go back into Windows once after clicking on ''discard changed and reset'' in the BIOS. However, after that it did go back again into BIOS, and since then hasn't gone back into Windows.
In the BIOS, the 512gb NVMe ssd inside this laptop does not show up, while it actually did once show up after I could not get back into Windows. That is the only storage drive in this laptop, so maybe it is faulty and the reason for causing this problem? Before this issue, regarding being unable to get back into Windows started, I got 2 blue screens with the same stop code, see attachment.

UPDATE 1: Tried to install Windows 10 instead from USB, but it wasn't detecting the ssd in the laptop when asking where to install Windows and only showed the USB drive. So that makes it really seem like the ssd in the laptop is busted, right? Image showing lack of ssd: ibb.co/mGBcBKk

Maybe indeed the drive is bad. However, if you have access to another computer, I would purchase a m.2 to USB adapter (either SATA or NVMe, depending on the drive you have) and test the drive out.

If the SSD doesn't show up in bios it may be broken. Have you tried to re-seat it?

Tested the NVMe drive in another laptop.Couldn't screw it in, but it was in the module so that should have been fine, right? The laptop didn't detect anything of the drive, neither in Windows or the BIOS. Still, also this test on its own cannot exclude possible damage to the mobo of my Aero 15x which might contribute to this problem I suppose.Last edited by a moderator: Nov 22, 2019 -

Drive probably kaput, the ssd (probably from Transcend) just failed on me recently, and at least they replaced it coz it still under warranty (they replace with 760p if anyone is interested)
I also got the same bsod btw. -
Yes, the ssd it came with was indeed broken. I replaced it with a Crucial p1 1tb drive which solved the problem. My Aero is running like a breeze now. Amazon gave me 185 euro for the broken ssd, way more than the value of the original drive. Still was able to buy 16gb of ram with it, and still with money left over
