    Hi guys,
By any chance, does anyone live in SanFrancisco / Bay Area? Can't find this laptop in physical stores, so may be you could show me yours. I would by you a coffee.
Choosing between xps15 and this one.

    Thanks

    Hi!

This is just "phase 1" of the project ;-) We have had a relationship with Gigabyte for a number of years - see previous XMG Core C404, C405, C504, C505 models etc which used the P34 and P35 chassis - we had an "XMG Powered By Gigabyte" relationship which exclusively allowed us to sell customised versions of these chassis. We haven't taken any more recent Gigabyte chassis up until the Aero 15 model launch a month ago on our website, but we are pleased to be in a position to start offering the chassis again - at first on a non-customised basis and then it's possible that "phase 2" will follow if we find demand is strong for configurable versions.

Offering configurable versions mean a huge amount of resources, especially on a product like this where the keyboard is integrated. We spoke about the Clevo P series in the same regard with over 15 different conbinations of GPU, panel etc - now with the Aero 15 we have 3 colours and integrated keyboards so we need to make sure than if/when we do go fully configurable we have all customers covered :)

BLB doesn't necessarily appear on black screens alone. It could be prominent on other colours. For example, dark background on my unit are fine, but a yellow background at ~40-70% brightness shows BLB at the bottom of the panel (only time I see that is during shutdown).
Some people experience BLB on grey backgrounds instead of black.
