    Hi guys,
I just bought the Gigabyte P34G v2 CF1 from Xoticpc and I just realized there are 2 other models, the CF2 and CF3. I am wondering whats the difference between the 3? I know the CF2 and CF3 have i7 4710HQ's, rather than the CF1's i7 4700HQ but, are there any other differences? Does one have a bigger battery than the others? Also I have noticed a difference in the pictures of the keyboard of the Gigabyte P34G v2, as some have a huge return/enter key, while the others have a regular sized one. Here is what I mean:
    gigabyte big key.jpg
You see, this one has a big enter/return key, while this one doesn't.
    gigabyte small key.jpg
I have noticed, when looking at these pictures and clicking on the links, the one with the big return key was listed as having a 4700HQ, which makes me think its the CF1. While the one with the small key has a 4710HQ, like the CF2 and CF3. Here are the links to the two:
    Small Key - Gigabyte P34G V2-CF2 Review - ComputerShopper.com
Big key - Gigabyte P34G v2 review | PC Pro

Another thing is, the one with the big key is also on a UK website, while the one with the small key is an american website.

The problem is this subject is so poorly documented and I can't find anything about it on the web. If anybody knows any information on the differences, it would really help clear this up.
    Thanks!

There are a lot of different CF versions for the P34Gv2. The main thing is that versions that are <CF4 have a smaller battery while the models =>CF4 have the bigger 61.25 wh battery. Any other CF versions are just things such as having a 250gb SSD or no SSD etc.

    As far as I know,
    CF1 - 128GB ssd + 1TB hdd, 8GB ram
    CF2 - 256GB ssd + 1TB hdd, 16GB ram
    CF3 - 1TB hdd, 8GB ram

I can't speak for different regions, but for us in the UK,
    CF1, 2, 3 - 47.73Wh battery
    CF4, 5, 6 - 61.25Wh battery

    Otherwise 1=4, 2=5, 3=6, only battery update.

Regarding 63Wh battery version (no 2.5" hdd) - I have no idea about this and think it depends on region - will have to check with resellers.

I have a question, is the WH how fast it charges or how much energy it can hold?

Energy, although it is a rather contrived unit IMO.

Why do you say that? How much longer do you think the battery would last in the CF4, vs the CF1? I settled on the 4-5 hours that the CF1 has, but I would consider returning it if, the CF4 has a significant longer lasting battery.

    its actually this way

    CF1 - 128GB ssd + 1TB hdd, 8GB ram, i7 4700HQ, 47wh
    CF2 - 128GB ssd + 1TB hdd, 16GB ram, i7 4710HQ, 47wh
    CF3 - 1TB hdd, 8GB ram, i7 4710HQ, 47wh

    CF4 - 128GB ssd + 1TB hdd, 8GB ram, i7 4710HQ, 61wh
    CF6 - 1TB hdd, 8GB ram, i7 4710HQ, 61wh

the model with the 63wh doesn't hold the HDD and AFAIK doesn't have a number, unless its the missing CF5

There is a good difference in terms of battery life between both batteries available (61 and 47), the latter doesn't provide 5h of it, while the former does around 5-6h

I meant contrived as in it's simpler to use an equivalent unit, ie Joules, but like with a lot of things stuff just becomes habitual and commonplace.

Regarding the difference between these two batteries - I can't speak from experience as I don't yet own this laptop, but from what I've read it could be around 1-2 hours extra.

Maybe it's different in other countries but in UK the CF2 had a 256GB msata drive and the CF5 will be identical to the CF2 only with larger battery, and is the model I'm waiting for. Scan have eta on it for first week in September.

CPUs are pretty much identical on all of them - only early models would be 4700HQ and not 4710HQ. Now all have the latter AFAIK, so no difference.

63Wh no hdd version doesn't exist for us,and I have no idea where in the world it may have been sold.
