Maybe you should remove softwares that may bugged the battery life, I can’t uninstall synapse on my Blade 15 since I can’t do anything without it but on gs65, a lot users uninstall dragons center and dive to bios control to maximize its performance. I found Beta software that eat a lot of wattage and by disabling its activity I got extra 2 or more hours. Aero 15x has max battery capacity that could be put in a laptop it should easily reach 9 hours on battery saver mode light usage because mine 80watt sometimes can achieve 8 hours (mostly 6 plus).
Yeah that’s what nvidia said it’s like manufacturer claims their laptops battery life should be less but there’re any.

Definitely not getting the X9 if the 1070 MaxQ in this beats the 2070 in the games that it was reviewed with, especially if they need an "AI" to throttle the laptop better :s

7/10nm won't be coming for H series laptops till 2020 at least, we're only getting the low power ones near the end of this year so you would be waiting a long time lol. It would of been interesting if the AMD 3xxxH series was Zen 2, Intel having actual head to head competition on performance laptops would be amazing

From what I've read on the owners thread it seems reinstalling helps with some stuff, but that's won't fix this keyboard missing so many key strokes and it the keyboard seems identical from the pictures for the X9. I've had 30 BSODs/sudden shut downs in under 2 months so far resulting in a lot of lost work.
The manual fan control is dumb too you should be able to go down to 0% fan speed not 30% in the manual fan curve, the GS65 is better in that regard.
Hopefully people who have the X8 can use the precision drivers from the X9 so they don't have to hack on precision drivers, the Elan drivers are trash.

I just hope they fixed those issues for people who are spending so much on a laptop

I don't have much software installed, the drivers are the "Official" ones from the Smart Update app. I don't know if it's because of Windows Update screwing everything over but I'm simply not getting and more than 3 hours anymore. Going to secure erase this laptop tonight and send it back tomorrow it's just not worth the hassle anymore for me. I'm thinking about just getting a normal laptop for half the price they seem a lot more consistent than these gaming laptops

I wouldn't trust anything Nvidia or AMD says about stuff like that unless they show their process and results like Notebookcheck etc, I don't care for scenarios that don't happen irl

According dave2d it has great temperature, to me sounds also promising from his benchmark compared to lower 2070maxq on notebookcheck.

70C on a 8950HK? Isn't that better than an MSI GT75 with much beefier cooling

Nope it’s higher and from physical score the last two benchmarks scene, it’s on high 80 or maybe reach 90ish, and maybe throttling due thermal or power limit since physical score on my 8750H is better (can get higher with manual Afterburner OC) with unlocking power limit to 45 Watt. Probably like always he test it as it is and the system is already limited cpu to lower cpu.

The keyboard issue is one of quality control, the basic design is good.

I own a 15X and it missed lots of key presses depending on where on the key you pressed. You can fix the individual keys with some fettling but you shouldn't have to however they will replace the keyboard under warranty and the difference between my new and old one is like 'night and day' compared to 'nght nd dy'.

I only looked at the 0:45 result where both were ~70C, don't really like dave2d after he said 100C was great thermals on another laptop. That was expected since the 8750H throttles on this platform and the cooling seems identical lol

You shouldn't have to is right for this price lol. Gigabyte should improve their QC

I’ve had one of these I’m my possession for almost 3 weeks. It’s quite a pleasure.

Don’t expect a thermal miracle so please respect common sense.

I should have the review done this week based on no AI. I’ll explore this later in-depth if I still have the Aero. Gigabyte wants it back by the end of the month. There needs to be a great deal of data on the cloud before the AI can do anything useful.

    Zero BSOD

    Zero BS issues with software

    Windows Precision trackpad is great

Samsung memory is their vendor and intel for everything else. This was made clear to us at CES.

Dual channel SKUs are on their way for NA as soon as their single channel inventory clears out. You’re welcome on this as I worked very hard to make this possible. More than you’ll ever know.

At that point with 2 x 8 you might see something different then Samsung but I have ZERO confirmation on that.

The Aero already was great at what it was and this generation just addressed a few weak links while offering a little GPU boost in performance over the previous version.

All FHD panels use the LG 144hz. I’ve had most of the 15” 144 FHD panels in my possession and these are the best, but only slightly. Actually 300 nits. (303)

    The UHD is from AUO.

Is the LG panel is same as the old one? Can you check the serial number of the LCD?

edit: This is the old LG screen

This video just popped up on my YouTube. It's the assembly of an Aero 15. It looks like one of the original ones when they were doing colors.

I thought it was interesting to see it all come together.
