I've been noticing a lot of my games running on much lower FPS. I did some research and my 1070GTX should be running pretty much everything on ultra at 60+

Yet Witcher 3 runs on between 25-30
    GTA 5 the same
and other games that should apparently be running on 100+ are running on about 40-60.

Is that normal? Temps are around 75-80c

That really depends on resolution, and your in-game settings; for example if used Supersampling for your AA, that would cut your fps by about half.

So all those FPS tests on Notebook check don't run things like Supersampling?

I'm sure they specify it in their testing methodology, but I doubt they'd have something like SS enabled unless it's the default AA for the highest setting (though I doubt a game would ship that way). In general, I would expect them to use the defaults for each preset setting and specify the resolution at which they're running the benchmark. If you're using the default setting at the same res as their benches and seeing half the fps, then ya, there's a 'problem' but first eliminate the possibility of different graphic settings (and make sure you're not overriding the in-game settings with nvidia control panel ones.

Thanks :) I'll test it and report back! I thought they had everything maxed.
