    The obvious choice is the GIGABYTE P34Wv3 for the 970M. Plus, Gigabyte's much more thin than the Sager. I'm sure anybody would pay an extra $150 to get the most up to date graphics card. The only problem is that you have to wait a while. So if you need it now, I'd go with the P34G v2.

    Do any of these two have common problems, such as overheating, or anything?

    I would urge you to take a look at the p650se, it's 4.5 pounds and has a 970m for 1260 dollars.

    wow great choice, never even seen this one since i was choosing 14.1" and under!
    even better that i have me own ssd and operating system, since it's not included!

    -how much impact does ram have on gaming? i'm assuming 16gb would be just fine.
    since they have an option for 24gig and 32. (32 seems like a overkill).

    -also is the copper cooling upgrade really worth it? i know the Diamond Thermal Compound is effective.

    Or the MSI GS60 Ghost Pro, it is 4.2 lbs and 0.8" thick with 970m and 15" 1080p or 3k LCD.
