On Monday, I got a P34w v5 3KSL2 from Newegg, to replace my original P34g. After patching everything through Smart Update, I noticed a Windows Activation warning, with the generic "this key has been activated too many times" error. I'm not sure if it was having problems prior to patching the BIOS and drivers or not, the Windows Activation warning on 10 is so subtle that it's easy to miss. I've filed an esupport ticket with Gigabyte, hoping they'll just send me a key and not make me send the machine in (at which point they'll turn it on, see it "works" and send it back without updating the key, I'm sure) and really don't want to give Newegg the almost $300 in restocking fees they're going to take if I have to return it.

Has anyone else run into Windows Activation problems with the P34w v5, especially after flashing to the newest BIOS?

Otherwise, except for the mechanical HD (I'll swap the SSD I put into the P34G once I get the Windows issue fixed) I'm happy with it so far. Framerates at 1080p are more than twice the P34g (which is still pretty usable) and acceptable at 3K for the few games I'd want on 14" at that resolution.
