    Hi guys,
I was playing a game in this laptop when suddenly it turned off. I thought it was due to thermal shutdown but I noticed a slight smell coming from the laptop. I tried to turn it back on again but heard a sizzling sound coming from it. So in a rush of panic I unplugged everything and removed the back cover and this is what I found.

Yeah it looks like two resistors blew up...

I owned this P34W v3 for exactly 2 years and 5 months so sadly I'm already out of warranty but I was wondering if it is repairable or is it better that I get a new laptop?

    Thanks.

Looks to be a ??0604?? Surface mount Capacitor (I can't tell if those are black or tan from the smoke). If you know the values of it, and assuming the SMD pads aren't destroyed it could be easily doable.
