I am considering Aorus X7 Pro V5-SL2 or Gigabyte P37XV5-SL4K2, and have been reading up on the information from other threads on the older models. I am looking to upgrade from an MSI GS60 3K with an 870M which I love, but unfortunately just isn't powerful enough to play the games coming out now, and would like to know thoughts about the upcoming refreshes. I would strongly consider an MSI, but I want to keep it lightweight, and unfortunately the GS72 model only has a 970M which won't work well with the Oculus.

From what I can tell is the older models of Gigabyte and Aorus have a bigger heating issue due to design, and airflow which may be improved here? Is there any other feedback from owners of the older models what to expect here?

    Thank you for your help!

I had an Aorus X7 Pro V3 which didn't have any heating issues. Just sounded like a jet ready to takeoff. However, my x7 is kinda buggy at time and his pretty much been that way from the start. I know gigabyte owns Aorus but I am curious for the results as I am considering both of these laptops also.
