I wasn't having any issues with this Aorus X7 DT V8 until I ticked the "Power Saving" check box in the windows 10 pop up box. After ticking it, constant power throttling is occuring, as if Windows is trying to save electricity and is trying to save battery life increasing clock speed.
Any thoughts on disabling this throttling? I've restarted. I've tweaked settings in Intel XTU. I've set new OC profiles in Aorus Command and Control. Thoughts?
I was hitting constant 4.3 ghz with 101 Watts throughput before this foopa.
EDIT: I may have fixed it by editing my registry to prevent Windows 10 Power Throttling. Seems that it may have gone away. Going to do more testing.
EDIT: That didn't fix anything.
EDIT: Throttlestop seems to have overridden any throttling settings the Intel XTU was failing to address. Interesting. TS for the WIN!

But the only problem is that Aorus control software utilizes and sets up its OC using Intel XTU, which conflicts with the TS. Not sure how to best approach that. Probably just remove Intel XTU and the Aorus CC software will be broken?Vistar Shook likes this. -
I am not surprised to see Throttle stop answer your needs as its a very good and useful tool. Please donate to it and keep it going if possible. Something is better than nothing, thanks. -
Hey mate, sorry for the thread resurrection. JUst wondering what setting you use to hit 4.3 constant? I cant seem to keep 3.9 constant let alone 4+
Cheers!
Matt
