    Aorus X3 v3 System Stability

    Hello All,
    I have had a weird problem for a few weeks now. So to recollect the history, my laptop's battery died a while back and then the adapter died too. After multiple futile efforts to secure a new adapter and battery from Aorus (routed from taiwan to singapore to complete disappearance of the shipment) So i replaced the adapter with another asus with same voltage and amperage. And the laptop has been running on power supply only.

    Coming to the present problem, It usually happens all of a sudden. Doesn't matter if gaming or normal office work. The screen will suddenly flicker with black bands and then it will freeze completely. with the screen on.
    Have to do a hard restart and then the problem repeats 2 to 3 times. tried to reinstall the graphics drivers for 970M. Still no cigar.
    Please help. There is nothing in the events viewer to indicate the problem.
